A short summary

Yagli guresh

Yagli guresh (Yağlı güreş) is a traditional wrestling style, originating from Turkey.
It allows grips on the opponent's garments, and allows grip fighting/changing grips during the match.

Techniques

Regarding Yagli guresh's arsenal of techniques, we know that leg techniques (hooks, sweeps, ect.), leg grabs and pins are allowed, and that submission holds and striking are not utilized.

Objective

Pin the opponent's back to the ground; lift the opponent off the ground and walk at least 3 steps, while carrying him.

Competition

The matches traditionally take place on grass. The match duration is 30 or 40 minutes, depending on the skill category.

We don't know if any weight classes are established.
Women are not allowed to participate in Yagli guresh competitions.
