Ranggeln

Ranggeln is a traditional wrestling style, originating from Austria.
It allows grips on the opponent's garments, and allows grip fighting/changing grips during the match.

Techniques

Regarding Ranggeln's arsenal of techniques, we know that leg techniques (hooks, sweeps, ect.) and leg grabs are allowed, and that pins, submission holds and striking are not utilized.

Objective

Make the opponent's back touch the ground.

Competition

We don't yet know where (on what surface) the matches traditionally take place. We also don't have information about the usual match duration.

There are no established weight classes - you could end up wrestling someone who is twice your size!
The different categories are divided by age, and not by weight. (Wikipedia)

We don't know whether it is allowed for women to participate in Ranggeln competitions.
