Khmer traditional wrestling

Khmer traditional wrestling (បោកចំបាប់; Baok Cham Bab) is a traditional wrestling style, originating from Cambodia.
It doesn’t allow grips on the opponent's garments, and allows grip fighting/changing grips during the match.

Techniques

Regarding Khmer traditional wrestling's arsenal of techniques, we know that leg techniques (hooks, sweeps, ect.) and leg grabs are allowed, and that pins, submission holds and striking are not utilized.

Objective

Matches consist of 3 rounds. Victory is obtained by forcing the opponent on their back. The person who is able to win 2 of the 3 rounds is the winner of the match.

Competition

The matches traditionally take place on dirt or sand. We don't yet know what the usual match duration is.

We don't know if any weight classes are established.
Women are allowed to participate in Khmer traditional wrestling competitions as well.
Although predominantly a male sport today, Khmer wrestling was once practiced by both sexes as female wrestlers are also displayed on the Banteay Srei temple. (Wikipedia)
