Narodna borba
Narodna borba (Народна борба) is a traditional wrestling style, originating from Bulgaria.It doesn’t allow grips on the opponent's garments, and allows grip fighting/changing grips during the match.
Techniques
Regarding Narodna borba's arsenal of techniques, we know that leg techniques (hooks, sweeps, ect.), leg grabs and pins are allowed, and that submission holds and striking are not utilized.Objective
Pin the opponent's back to the ground (for a certain time).Competition
The matches traditionally take place on grass (or a wrestling mat). We don't yet know what the usual match duration is.We don't know if any weight classes are established. Neither, if women are allowed to participate in Narodna borba competitions or not.
