A short summary

Hey! Unfortunately we don't yet have a full-scale article on Kazaksha kures. However, here is a short summary of what we know about it so far.

Kazaksha kures

Kazaksha kures (Қазақша күрес; Қазақ күресі) is a traditional wrestling style, originating from Kazakhstan.
It allows grips on the opponent's garments, and allows grip fighting/changing grips during the match.

Techniques

Regarding Kazaksha kures' arsenal of techniques, we know that leg techniques (hooks, sweeps, ect.) are allowed, and that leg grabs, pins and submission holds are not utilized.

We don't yet have knowledge on whether any form of striking techniques are trained or allowed in competition.

Objective

Throw the opponent on his back.

Competition

We don't yet know where (on what surface) the matches traditionally take place. We also don't have information about the usual match duration.

There are established weight classes.
We don't know whether it is allowed for women to participate in Kazaksha kures competitions.
