Gouren
Gouren is a traditional wrestling style, originating from Brittany peninsula, France.It allows grips on the opponent's garments, and allows grip fighting/changing grips during the match.
Techniques
Regarding Gouren's arsenal of techniques, we know that leg techniques (hooks, sweeps, ect.) are allowed, and that leg grabs, pins, submission holds and striking are not utilized.Objective
Throw the opponent on his back. The attacker must touch the ground after the opponent falls.Competition
The matches traditionally take place on sawdust. The match duration is 7 minutes.We don't know if any weight classes are established.
Women are allowed to participate in Gouren competitions as well.
